교실소개

 

제주대학교 의학전문대학원 미생물학교실은 1998년 3월 의과대학 설립과 더불어 설치되었다. 
1998년 3월 고영상 교수가 부임하였으며 이후 1999년 9월 김범준 교수가 부임하였다. 
2003년 2월 김범준 교수가 퇴임하여 서울의대 미생물학교실로 전입하였으며 2004년 3월 이근화 교수가 부임하여 현재 전임교수 2명, 조교 1명, 대학원생 3명 및 연구원 3명으로 구성되어 있다. 의학전문대학원 석사과정에 미생물과 인체방어,감염 등의 과목이 개설되어 있으며,  간호학과 학사과정에는 미생물학및실험 과목이 개설되어 있다. 주요 연구분야는 1) 쯔쯔가무시병의 원인균인 Orientia tsutsugamushi의 유전체 및 분자미생물학적 연구 2) 숙주-병원체 상호작용, 병원체 감염에 대한 숙주면역 방어기전 3) 헬리코박터 파이로이 (Helocobacter pylori)의 병원성 4) 미생물 감염시 regulatory T cell 5) 결핵균 및 비정형 미코박테륨 (MOTT)의 분자생물학기법을 이용한 균 동정 및 약제 내성에 관한 연구 등이다.
